Fortaleza "Pilares"

The Fortaleza blend is one with a very important story. The name Fortaleza means fortress and that is what my great uncle, Padre Abundio Anaya was during the time of the Batalla De Los Cristeros. He provided aid to anyone who was injured or dying, regardless of whatever cause they were fighting for. In the end, his devotion to extending mercy and compassion to all who needed it made him a "fortress for the weary" for which his life was taken. Today, a monument sits outside of the main entrance of the Catedral de Tizapán in Jalisco in his memory. The "Pilares" (Pillars) that he had imported during the restoration of this church still line its halls today.

This particular blend is a Nicaraguan Puro in a 6.5x49 Lonsdale format called "Pilares" is dressed with a beautiful natural wrapper. The strength is Medium and the body of the flavor is medium to full.
